How to become an AIESEC Member.

AIESEC the world's largest youth-driven organization is the international platform for young people to explore and develop their potential to have a positive impact on society. With a focus on building personal networks and exploring the direction and ambition of their future, AIESEC has an innovative approach to engaging and developing young people into the leaders needed today and tomorrow.

AIESEC focuses on leadership, management, and world issues in order to create positive agents in society. With this, it offers young people the opportunity to participate in international internships, experience leadership and partake in a global learning environment.

AIESEC is open to all the students from all the faculties of the Egerton University.
The meetings and events take place in

Main Campus: Every Friday 4pm-5.30pm at Utafiti Hall, CMRT Games room
You can choose to improve your practical knowledge in your field of study or decide to challenge yourself with a completely different area.
We recruit new members beginning of every semester. You can get in contact with us any time, but you get full induction and training only during recruitment.
Steps to become a member:
  • Information event: we will briefly explain what is AIESEC, the activities in which you will be involved by joining the association and how our internship program works. You will have the chance to meet us personally and time to ask us questions.
  • APPLICATION FORM: this form allows you to start the selection process.
  • 1st meeting, role game: during the first meeting we will do a role game to get to know each other and see how you interact in teams.
  • Interview: you will have a personal interview to evaluate your motivation and get your preferences about the team in which you would like to enter.
  • Allocation in a team: once you have successfully passed the selection, you will be allocated to a team and will start your wonderful adventure in AIESEC.
  • Regional Induction Seminar: you will attend your first conference, together with the new members of other local AIESEC Chapters. You will discover a lot about AIESEC and about yourself. You will be in contact with other AIESECers and get a concrete idea of what we do.
NB: The selection process is nothing scary. It is not just about us deciding if you fit for AIESEC, it is the time for you to understand if AIESEC fits your needs.  You will get full benefits from the association only if you see it as an opportunity of personal and professional growth.
How will my AIESEC eXPerience look like?
  1. You will be part of a team that runs one of following activities:
    • Sell the exchange program to corporate clients
    • Organizes the departure of our students and the arrival of interns from abroad
    • Run a recruitment process on campus and organize learning activities for members
    • Manage the accountability and legal issues of the local committee
    • Manage our internal and external communication
    • Organize projects and events on relevant issues
  2. You will attend national and also international conferences
  3. You will get in contact with a global network of students and companies
  4. You will be able to apply for a leadership positions and manage the association at strategic level
  5. You will make an experience abroad, working and living in a new country. How does it sound?
